    Because what's going on?

You guys should come and tell me how you're surviving this adulthood thing in Nigeria with your salary because...

When was I still scattering everywhere with my legwork because my salay climbed to 450K. I genuinely thought I had finally arrived.

Omo, you needed to see me the day HR sent my promotion letter. Joy almost wounded me. I really looked at sapa in the eyes and said “sope otilor”

Sunday Ighoro... Senior Associate ke? Mama would finally be proud.

But adulthood heard it, clapped its hands and said, "Not so fast."

Tell me why I'm four months into this new role and it feels like I'm constantly running so sapa doesn't catch up with me.

I didn't even tell my siblings that my salary increased, but somehow their bills doubled too. Funny how their needs are always too legit to ignore.

Then there's my girlfriend, Kele. I still have to press something for her. Food, tfare, fuel, subscriptions by the time I'm done with my own bills, I'm  too broke to propose to Kele and start a family. Kele has used all the styles to instigate me to propose but with this salary? Tufiakwa.

My landlord is another story entirely.

    150% rent increase?

Is it because my white shirts are more starched than before?

And how do I explain to my landlord's daughter, Risi, who stands outside her gate every Monday morning by 6:45 a.m…just to watch me walk by that my savings cannot even save me?

I know the economy is showing everybody shege, but how are the rest of you doing it because you people are not looking like what I'm going through o.

    Abi am I missing something?

Or are the people from my village finally catching up? 🤔

All those restaurants you people go to and post on Snap... are they real or AI-generated?

BellaNaija weddings... you mean you people can still throw a party in 2026 and invite hundreds of people to come and eat Jollof rice and Amala…with meats cut in big big sizes? 😲

iPhone 17 in everybody's hand in this bloody economy?

    Involve me o, abeg.

After all, we rise by lifting others or how Davido talk am?
