    About the franchise

Women's lists have a pattern: pick the most senior woman at the biggest bank, add a minister, add a founder-with-a-fund, print. Power Women Africa won't do that. We'll include the CEO — and we'll include the engineer who shipped a flagship product while on maternity, the HR director who closed a company's pay gap, the operator who negotiated a returnship program. The goal is a list that tells working African women their careers are being watched, not just their titles.

    What we're tracking

The signals that put someone on the list

    Beyond the C-suite

We profile VPs, directors, founders, operators and senior specialists — not only the five women at the top of the org chart.

    The pay and policy lever

Honourees often changed something structural: closed a pay gap, built a return-to-work program, shifted hiring, changed maternity.

    Second-act leaders

Women who rebuilt after breaks, reinvented mid-career, or turned corporate into their own venture.
